Our perception of the world changes colour as we grow up. When we are young we view the world as colourful, exciting and bright. Studies show that as we get older it our view of colour changes and becomes more subdued. In the same way, spaces we used to inhabit and activities that we once enjoyed, are now passed without a second glance, as they are no longer filled with the excitement and wonder of childhood.

‘Essence / Absence’ aims to challenge viewers' perception of colour and its absence with passing time, offering a thought-provoking visual exploration of colour, time and the fleeting nature of life . By embracing the absence of colour as a powerful visual element, the series invites viewers to reflect on the significance of what is missing and engage with the emotions, narratives, and symbolism that arise from the absence itself.

Hybridity between different cultures and cuisines from around the world, is a result of globalization, directly influenced by colonization. Globalization means that traditional cultural foods are spreading and are being displaced from their roots, along with the mixing of cultural traditions. This series, ‘Displaced Cuisine’ draws attention to the way that colonized cultures were 'force fed' the colonizing cultures' ways.

‘Glocality’ is a photographic series that delves into the disconnection experienced amidst the overwhelming interconnected world we live in. It aims to capture the isolated, and distracted nature of this existence. Ultimately, "Glocality" serves as a visual reminder of the need for a balance between our digital connections and a genuine connection with the world around us.
